St. Augustine’s life provides us with an example of the sublime fruits of grace which Christ bestows upon those who fall in love with the Divine Teacher of Truth. In doing so, Augustine was drawn to the Catholic Church, the holy dwelling place in which the fullness of truth subsists through the ages.

As I prayed the Rosary while a beautiful sunrise unfolded overhead, I realized that prayer was not so much about accomplishing something as it was about entering into a relationship, a communion, a loving conversation with the divine Other who is Love.
A man would have to be quite taken with himself to fail to notice things “aren’t quite right.” Sometimes, he can’t put his finger on precisely what is wrong, aside from the obvious effects of the carpet bombing of sin.
