What do we know of this wondrous mystery of three divine, distinct Persons who are one God? It is unfortunate that there is a rather prevalent and inconsiderate habit of not thinking too deeply about the Trinity. True, the doctrine can seem dauntingly confusing. It is, after all, ultimately a strict mystery.
It has been the constant belief of the Church that God is Triune, a plurality of Persons. God is one and God is three.
The goal is to see with clarity. God’s grace is required for that, but also our own efforts are indispensable. In seeking eyes that see with the light of God, we must live by the light of Christ.
