May 20, 2020 by Blyton Pinto Leave a Comment

Sermon On The Mount

red roses

When I requested a rose from St Thérèse, I felt a mix of doubt and hope. Was I relying too heavily on the saints instead of on God Himself?

Obedience Is The Way of Love

May 16, 2020 by Deacon Frederick Bartels Leave a Comment

Light of Christ, Grace of Jesus

Obedience, the way of love, is tied to keeping the commandments of the Lord Jesus. We keep the commandments of Christ because we love who he is. We love his deeds and words and his way of life. In free and loving obedience is found happiness.

May 9, 2020 by Suellen Dusek Leave a Comment

Rosary, Prayer and Grace

May is the month of Mary. It’s the month when we turn our eyes toward the Mother of God and she turns our eyes toward her Son. It’s a beautiful exchange, a relationship of wonder and love. I like to focus on the glorious mysteries during Easter.

Pope St. John Paul II:

Jesus Christ meets the man of every age, including our own, with the same words: “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” These words contain both a fundamental requirement and a warning: the requirement of an honest relationship with regard to truth as a condition for authentic freedom, and the warning to avoid every kind of illusory freedom, every superficial unilateral freedom, every freedom that fails to enter into the whole truth about man and the world.  (Redemptor Hominis No. 12)
